Woman is the Earth is one of the most unique sounding black metal bands that I have come across for some time. Their goal clearly does not lie in pure aggression. They create soundscapes, without resorting to esoteric atmosphere, and without sacrificing the magnitude and pacing of black metal.
Eisenton Records internationally released Woman is the Earth’s second recording, which is their first proper album, on April 21t (set for release in North America on May 6th).
The name of the album is This Place that Contains my Spirit, and you can stream the entire release below. If you like what you hear, visit the links at the bottom of the page to secure yourself a copy of the album.
